Corey and Shawn each give us their prediction for every NFL game in week 14.
Patriots @ Rams
Spread: Rams -5
O/U: 43.5
Corey: New England has won 4 of 5, with the defense coming up big over the last two weeks. The outcome could come down to which Jared Goff shows up, but I do like the Pats to at least cover.
Rams win 24 -21
Shawn: New England reestablished themselves last week with their blowout victory. I believe that their defense can get them 9 or 10 total wins this season.
Patriots win 24 - 20
Vikings @ Buccaneers
Spread: Buccaneers -6.5
O/U: 52.5
Corey: Tom Brady and company will put it all together and finish the year off strong, but I expect the Vikings to rise to the occasion and put up a fight in this pivotal matchup with playoff implications.
Bucs win 31 -27
Shawn: The Bucs just have too many weapons and Eric Kendricks is not playing. The Vikings will have a tough time stopping this offense.
Bucs win 27 - 23
Cardinals @ Giants
Spread: Cardinals -1.5
O/U: 45
Corey: This one could come down to whether Daniel Jones plays, but either way I expect Arizona to snap out of its funk and pick up a much-needed win here. I don't think New York is quite good enough to win 5 in a row, so I believe their streak ends this week.
Cardinals win 24 - 23
Shawn: I really want to pick the Giants, but the Cardinals are the better team. Murray will get flushed out of the pocket constantly and rush for around 100 yards and a touchdown.
Cardinals win 20 - 16
Chiefs @ Dolphins
Spread: Chiefs -7.5
O/U: 50.5
Corey: The Dolphins have been one of the most pleasant surprises of 2020 and were looking like a team that no one wants to face come playoff time.....until their inexplicable decision to bench Fitzpatrick. KC's defense should have no trouble containing Tua while Mahomes does his thing.
Chiefs win 30 - 16
Shawn: Unless the Dolphins can score 30+, I'm not sure they can keep up with the best offense in the league. If the Dolphins somehow pull this off, then we may as well crown Brian Flores as Coach of the Year.
Chiefs win 33 - 24
Titans @ Jaguars
Spread: Titans -7.5
O/U: 52.5
Corey: Tennessee has been Jekyll and Hyde over the past 6 weeks, alternating between looking like a contender and looking downright terrible. Unfortunately for the scrappy Jaguars, the Titans are coming off an abysmal performance last week. Expect them to bounce back here.
Titans win 30 -20
Shawn: If the Titans want to make a playoff run like last year, their defense needs to figure things out. I think they get pressure on Glennon in this bounce back victory.
Titans win 31 - 17
Cowboys @ Bengals
Spread: Cowboys -3.5
O/U: 42.5
Corey: If Mike McCarthy isn't on the hot seat now, he definitely will be if Dallas loses to Cincy. I don't think the Bengals will be able to muster enough offense in this one, giving McCarthy at least one more week of job security.
Cowboys win 20 -16
Shawn: Yeesh... I feel bad for anyone who doesn't have Sunday Ticket and they're stuck with this game on cable.
Cowboys win 24 - 23
Texans @ Bears
Spread: Texans -1
O/U: 44.5
Corey: Since defeating the Bucs two months ago, the Bears have been a complete disaster. The Texans, on the other hand, have been flirting with respectability ever since they sent the abysmal Bill O'Brien packing back in October. This one could come down to QB play, which heavily favors Houston.
Texans win 24 -22
Shawn: Texans are banged up and aren't left with a lot of receiving options for Watson. Unless Houston's defense or special teams can make some GCPs (game changing plays), I think the Bears defense can control this game.
Bears win 17-16
Broncos @ Panthers
Spread: Panthers -3.5
O/U: 46.5
Corey: Denver played KC tough last week, but I feel like that was their Super Bowl, and they could be in for a letdown here. Carolina has also been better than their record indicates.
Panthers win 27 -20
Shawn: Teddy Two Gloves will be rested and reenergized after their bye week. Even without CMC, the Panthers will come out firing and looking refreshed.
Panthers win 23 - 20
Jets @ Seahawks
Spread: Seahawks -13.5
O/U: 47
Corey: Seattle shouldn't be favored by 13.5 over anyone, even if it is the Jets. I expect them to bounce back with a win this week, but every game they play comes down to the final possession.
Seahawks win 24 - 19
Shawn: After losing at home last week to the Giants, Russ will play lights out. I expect D.K. to have 150 yards and two touchdowns in this comfortable victory.
Seahawks win 37 - 17
Colts @ Raiders
Spread: Colts -3
O/U: 51
Corey: I don't normally like betting on Philip Rivers, but it's even harder to back a team that needed a miracle to beat the 0-11 Jets a week after getting blown out by the Falcons. Indy should be able to take care of business here.
Colts win 30 -24
Shawn: The Raiders pretty much lost last week against the Jets, while the Colts have won three straight road games. As long as Rivers can throw less than two interceptions, the Colts run game and defense should win this game.
Colts win 24 - 20
Washington @ 49ers
Spread: 49ers -3
O/U: 43
Corey: The Washingtonians have looked very impressive the last couple weeks, and could be a tough matchup if they're able to get into the playoffs. However, I expect the SF defense to rebound this week and the offense to do just enough to squeak by WFT.
49ers win 21 - 19
Shawn: The hip thing to do here would be to pick the Washingtons to win in Alex Smith's revenge game. Instead, I'm going to pick the team with the best Defensive Coordinator in the league. Robert Saleh will find a way to beat the Footballers.
49ers win 20 - 17
Saints @ Eagles
Spread: -6.5
O/U: 43
Corey: My prediction will change if Drew Brees comes back, but for now I'm picking the Eagles to cover. Philly finally did the sensible thing by benching Wentz, but Hurts has his work cut out for him against a very good New Orleans defense. As long as Taysom is under center for the Saints, I can't bet on them to cover on the road.
Saints win 23 -20
Shawn: Jalen Hurts will rush for around 80 yards, throw for around 200, and have two turnovers and two touchdowns. The Saints' defense will take advantage of his inexperience and costly turnovers.
Saints win 27 - 23
Falcons @ Chargers
Spread: Falcons -2.5
O/U: 49.5
Corey: Unlike Shawn, I am a Justin Herbert believer. And in a battle of the two teams that have burned me the most this season, I'm counting on him to come through with a rare W.
Chargers win 27 -24
Shawn: Hopefully you have quite a few players from this game for your fantasy playoff game. This game will come down to the last five minutes. Which team will want to lose more?
Falcons win 34 -33
Packers @ Lions
Spread: Packers -8
O/U: 55
Corey: Nothing sparks a team like the firing of an awful head coach, which Detroit just proved last week. However, there is no stopping the Rodgers-Adams connection right now. Green Bay might not cover, but they should still find a way to win.
Packers win 31 - 24
Shawn: If Okudah, Golladay and Swift play, then I pick this as my upset pick of the week! However, the Lions aren't healthy enough to pull off this divisional victory.
Packers win 30 - 23
Steelers @ Bills
Spread: Bills -2
O/U: 48
Corey: After back-to-back ugly performances, the Steelers are looking to turn things around. Unfortunately for them, they are facing a Bills team that is quickly establishing itself as a legitimate Super Bowl contender. Josh Allen just passed Russell Wilson for 3rd place on my MVP rankings for the season.
Bills win 27 -22
Shawn: Mike Tomlin might just deserve Coach of the Year if they can finish the year strong. I also believe that this talented group of receivers will make up for all of their dropped passes last week. The Steelers will come away with a statement win in Buffalo.
Steelers win 26 - 24
Ravens @ Browns
Spread: -2.5
O/U: 47
Corey: Cleveland is looking like a serious contender, but being home underdogs shows they still aren't getting quite the respect they deserve. They have a golden opportunity in prime time to show the world they are for real.
Browns win 23 - 21
Shawn: The Ravens got their mojo back. I'm predicting that they win their final four games and grab a wild card spot. If the Browns win and end up making the playoffs, then Kevin Stefanski could end up grabbing the COY award!
Ravens win 26 - 24
I think the Giants D will keep Murray contained and make him pass from the pocket, and force TOers. Will be close.
